Nick Cannonisn’t sure who to getValentine’s Daygifts for this year.

While appearing on an episode ofThe Counsel Culture Show, theMasked Singerhost, 43, talked with host Dr. Laura Berman about Valentine’s Day, mentioning that he didn’t know if he was expected to get his sons presents for the special day.

“Do I get my sons something for Valentine’s Day? They see their sister or something…” Cannon begins.

“Yeah I always got my boys something for Valentine’s Day," Dr. Berman responds.

“Well yeah because you’re a mom. Moms should get the boys something. Should dad get his sons something for Valentine’s Day?” Cannon asks. “It’s a day to celebrate love. I’m not romantic with my son.”

Dr. Berman adds that it’s a day of love, not a romantic day.

“But it is technically a romantic holiday. I do, I get everybody something but it’s like, most of the time it keeps me out of trouble," Cannon says. “I take my daughter out for Valentine’s Day and my son doesn’t get to go.”

“That kind of is sad. I mean I get what you’re saying but my dad sent me flowers every year on Valentine’s Day and it meant so much to me, especially the years I didn’t have anyone or I just had my heart broken or something. And getting those flowers meant so much, “Dr. Berman shares, prompting Cannon to say he’ll continue to get things for his sons.

The two continue to debate the topic, with Dr. Berman pointing out that Cannon gets things for his daughter, but the two are “not romantically involved.”

“No but I still like to feel loved. I just feel, it’s weird I’m not sending my sons any thing. I might get them…” he trails off.

“A big stuffed animal,” Dr. Berman offers.

“Yeah but I’m not sending my son roses,” Cannon asserts.

He is also father to two children withAlyssa Scott— sonZen, whodiedat five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and daughterHalo Marie Cannon, 14 months.
