A country music legend and a Latin pop superstar are teaming up for an unexpected but very exciting collaboration.
On Monday,Miranda Lambert, 40, andEnrique Iglesias, 48, revealed they’re set to release a duet titled “Space in My Heart.” The hitmakers shared onsocial mediathat the upcoming track is due out on Feb. 22.
The country star also posted to herInstagram Storyto share how excited she was to drop the song. “Texas meets Spain! 🤠,” she wrote over the single artwork, referring to her native Texas and how Iglesias hails from Madrid.
“Can’t wait for y’all to hear this one,” she added.
The brief clip of audio that the two Grammy winners teased reveals the forthcoming song to be a tender, romantic ballad about longing.
“You don’t love me yet / But I know you will / If you only felt / Half of what I feel / If you ever go / I will never change / There’s a space in my heart / And it’s just your shape,” they harmonize in the snippet.
The song seems to pull from both of their genres, as it appears to feature the gentle picking of an acoustic guitar and allows both Lambert’s twang and Iglesias’ croon to shine.
