With Earth no longer habitable , a chemical group of courageous pioneer have traveled to another planet to begin again . They ’ve built the town of Forthaven on Carpathia and have the alone opportunity of creating a new and upright future on another satellite . Led by President Tate ( Liam Cunningham via Clash Of The Titans ) and his core squad of Stella ( Hermione Norris , MI-5 ) , Cass ( Daniel Mays , Atonement ) and Fleur ( Amy Manson , Being Human ) , they ’re dictated to launch the civilization in a democratic way , but some tough decisions in the yesteryear may prove factious .
As the serial begins , it ’s a moment of incredible expectancy . Forthaven has lost all contact with Earth but the arriver of the last known conveyor belt , with Julius Berger ( Eric Mabius of Ugly Betty ) on board , signals fresh hopes and dreams . But why does President Tate seem anxious about the imminent arrival of Berger and will the transporter land safely with Stella ’s hubby and daughter , who she heartbreakingly go out behind ?
Meanwhile those nominate Expeditionaries , Mitchell ( Jamie Bamber , Battlestar Galactica ) and Jack ( Ashley Walters , Hustle ) , have a foreign mission to explore the young satellite and convey back life-sustaining info to the settlement . Will they find other life out there , or do they truly have the major planet to themselves ?
The settlers are a diverse group of individuals who left their old lives behind in sinful circumstance . They ’ve been promised a 2d probability but are far away from home , friends , household and their pasts . Passionate about their task , confident of their ideals and affirmative about the future , they work hard to preserve what they ’ve built on the satellite they now call home .
Carpathia offers the possibility of buyback as the new inhabitants attempt to keep off the mistakes made on Earth . Inevitably they can not escape the human pitfalls of making love , greed , lust , deprivation , depravity and a longing for those they ’ve pass on behind . As they continue to work and exist together , they add up to realize this is no ordinary major planet . Is there a self-aggrandizing function at oeuvre ? Is the peace of Forthaven more fragile than they think ?
Currently the project is without a loss appointment , although people believe it will part airing sometime in August 2011 .
