Much of the journey of “ Dangerous Debt ” see Ahsoka , Trace , and Rafa seek to break out of the Pyke prison house they ’ve found themselves in after one sketchy Rafa programme after another landed themin live waterwith the Crime syndicate while endeavor to smuggle spice . It ’s not the first metre Clone Wars has done a “ break out of jailhouse ” storyline — and there ’s a good luck it might not be the last , even if we ’re a decent chunk into the final time of year of the show . That physical power disparity is constantly contrasted throughout the episode as the tierce attempt to escape Pyke forces over and over . When Rafa struggle to whelm a single Pyke guard to steal his stun billystick , realize more than a few nasty C in the process , Ahsoka effortlessly infiltrates a guard pillar and expertly floors a whole squad of them barely breaking a swither . When Trace , who pluck up a blaster for what looks like the first meter in her entire life and scramble to bring down a shot , Ahsoka simply lifts Trace ’s opponents out into the open with the Force to make them targets sluttish to hit for even the most tiro marksman . She can . She was a Jedi . She has powers and skills the vast bulk of the extragalactic nebula ca n’t even begin to comprehend . She is unlike to them . And she can use those magnate for goodness , whether it ’s to help her new friend out of their repeatedly sticky situations or beyond .

That ’s the hopeful lesson Ahsoka learns of the disparity between a Jedi and the average person in “ Dangerous Debt . ” The 2d , and equally valuable one , is much drab , and actually comes early on in the sequence . While still attempting to fancy a way out of the jailhouse for the first clip , Ahsoka and Rafa — who still ca n’t help needling one another for the latter ’s grievous , spiral con game — unload on each other , until Rafa and Trace finally explain just why they have a particular aversion for the Jedi , beyond their full retirement from public service to become general of the Clone Wars . It ’s a story of release , their parent killed when a Jedi chasing a gang of outlaw diverted a crashing freighter into the surface of one of Coruscant ’s many docking jam to its humbled levels . The nameless Jedi saved the day , and countless lives in the process . But the freighter they diverted from crashed elsewhere , smashing into Martez ’s flat , killing Trace and Rafa ’s parents as they assure their children survived .

But it ’s not losing their parent that acerbate Trace and Rafa — and trillion of people across the Republic like them , who have lost have a go at it ones to war and conflict — to the Jedi . It ’s what happened in the days after the catastrophe when that Jedi derive to visit them . Not to apologize . Not to declare oneself financial or societal support to two tragically orphaned children in Coruscant ’s slum area . All she did was differentiate these grieving kids that all is as the Force bequeath it , like some variety of overbold oracle , and goes about her fashion , result them to fend for themselves . Because the Jedi are nothing like the people they swore to protect . And as time has pass on and that ’s become clear and clearer , it ’s also become percipient that distancehas alienate themfrom why they ’re intend to be doing what they ’re on the face of it doing as the Jedi Order : aid those who do not have this magnate or perspective themselves .

For Ahsoka , these lessons are hard ones to take in . She must stop hiding who she genuinely is — a hero , strong in the Force , who is willing to do so much to help others . But she must do so by letting go of the system that defined her life in the process , and the hubris that has become baked into it at its very roots .
