This week ’s Chuck proved three matter : ThatKristin Kreukisn’t as defective an actress as she was on Smallville , that Chuck ’s apparently got the intersect thing under control , and that everyone at the BuyMore have astonishingly scant retentiveness . Spoilers !
Let ’s just get the Morgan find No Respect subplot out the way : Did n’t we do this last hebdomad ? ! ? Like , almost exactly ? I mean , maybe I ’m unseasonable , but I think the point of last calendar week ’s Fight Club Riffian was that it end with Morgan give Lester , and therefore the entire rebellion , and earning respect as an assistant managing director . So why did this week ’s episode seem as if none of that had happened ? Do n’t get me faulty ; Casey ’s solution of brainwash Lester was both amusing and kind of creepy , but still , we make do with this last hebdomad . Going back and redoing it so soon was just weird .
Weirder , in fact , than Kristin Kreuk ’s Hannah … who seems so too gratifying to be unfeigned that she ’s buzz off to be a spy for someone . I really hope she ’s not , though ; despite my disfavour for Lana Lang inSmallville , I really warmed to Kreuk here despite her probable Undercover Evil Agentness , and kind of like the estimate of Chuck fall for someone who ’s ( a ) not Sarah , ( b ) not a spy and ( c ) might cling around for a spot , unlike the last sentence Chuckfell for a special guest star non - spy in a multiple episode arc . As someone who infer that Chuck and Sarah will necessarily terminate up together finally , I ’m still pulling for that finally to be a retentive way aside : allow Chuck and Hannah have some prison term together , and permit Sarah fall for Shaw even if it means bypassing that whole " I may be responsible for my wife ’s end " thing . Let ’s see thing get throw off up a spot , at least temporarily . Talking of shaking things up : Chuck discharge his first solo mission ! Admittedly , notentirelysolo – and what a stroke of coincidence / comedic ridiculousness that the infrastructure come about to have remote plane controls cover under a instrument panel like that ! – but more or less . I ’m so happy that someone in the show realized that Chuck was more than quick for this after two season of pull through Sarah and Casey ’s hind end that I ’m not even dwelling on the fact that Chuck seems to have as if by magic got that whole " intersect flash on purpose " thing down surprisingly quickly . Well , not dwellingtoomuch ; I still wo n’t be too surprised if it operate back to being undependable next week when fauxtension is require before a commercial-grade break . But : Sword fighting ( gross with slap ) ! Nunchucking ( Albeit pointlessly because of the slapstick going on behind ! ) ! This is what I want to see more of : It does n’t change the core of the show – that Chuck isemotionallyunready to make the sacrifices / choices required of a undercover agent – but does think of that he wo n’t need to get rescued by other people so often . More , please .

Overall , then , a weird installment : For all the forward movement of the Chuck plot of land , the BuyMore plot of land seemed out of place and a rerun from last week . Maybe everyone was perturb by the Eiffel Tower . But what did all of you think ?
