Ever sinceJames Gunn leave Marvel , the fate of the third Guardians movie , once a trusted matter , has been in limbo . We sleep together the picture ison hold , officially , but we do n’t know if or when it ’s blend to move forward , or if , without Gunn ’s touch , the visual modality for Marvel ’s cosmic side is going to change importantly .
Yesterday , though , Chris Pratt has joined some of his fellow actors , notably Karen Gillan , in insisting that , yes , it ’s still dead the program : protector of the Galaxy Vol . 3 will go on .
“ I anticipate there ’ll be a third movie , ” Pratt toldVarietyat the Lego Movie 2 premiere . “ I do n’t know exactly what that ’s going to face like , but I love everyone on board is just eager to give the fans what they want and wrap up a trilogy in a meaningful mode . ”
If / when the movie happens , it will be interesting to see how it diverge from the retiring work , and what sort of use it will play in the MCU decease forward . It would n’t be surprising to see the franchise act a character that ’s minimized more or less , in the backwash of its driving creative backing leaving . But , still , says Pratt : it ’ll happen .
