Becca Kufrinis heading toParadise!
TheBachelorettealum, 31, will join 23 fellow Bachelor Nation singles looking for love on season 7 ofBachelor in Paradise, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
Although she won’t appear in the season premiere ofBachelor in Paradise, which airs Monday, Aug. 16 on ABC, Kufrin will arrive at the tropical Mexican resort in the coming weeks to shake things up.
The upcoming season — which will be teased in a new promo during Monday’sBachelorettefinale — will see her reunite withJoe Amabile, 34, whovied for her heartin season 14 ofThe Bachelorette.
Kufrin ultimately choseGarrett Yrigoyen, 32, to whom shegot engaged during the two-hour season finalein August 2018. “Garrett is one of the only people [with whom] right away, Ifelt 100 percent me,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “The best way I can describe it is if you have a puzzle and it’s two pieces that match correctly and it just clicks into place.”
The Minnesota-born publicist confirmed last September on herBachelor Happy Hourpodcast, which she began hosting in July 2020 with Rachel Lindsay, that she and Yrigoyencalled off their engagement.

She previously accepted a proposal fromArie Luyendyk Jr., 39, in the season 22 finale ofThe Bachelor, before heinfamously broke things offand chose runner-upLauren Burnham, 29, during the two-part finale in March 2018.
Kufrin opened up to PEOPLE about the shocking moment, after she was subsequently chosen to star inThe Bachelorette. “I’m stillgoing to feel a sense of compassion for himbecause I did love him,” she said. “But at this point, I want him to be happy, I want to be done and not have to worry about them anymore. They’re going to be together and do their thing. I want to move on and have my person that I can focus on and live my life with.”
