KGBeast disorder him , Sara knocks him out , and it seems like the whole grouping decides to make the trade . Supposedly this is a murky option , but I back it . From Sara ’s level of horizon , Slade has every reason to hurt Ollie , but absolutely no reasonableness to hurt the guy rope she ’s give to him . He only wants the prisoner so he can leave . Basically , she ’s buy Oliver ’s freedom and giving the guy a free ride out of there . Win - profits .
The sequence is intend to show how far Sara will go to protect the people she sleep with . She produce some provocation in this episode , as Laurel is in danger . Again .
They ’ve just captured Frank Bertinelli , and the Adam Donner , Laurel ’s former foreman , wants her to come back and try him . Laurel is thrilled ! The Arrow squad ? Less so . They know what happens when Laurel gets anywhere near the line of ardor , and this time it take place even faster than common . As Bertinelli gets taken into the courthouse , Helena drops in . It turn out the whole affair was a sham , commit by Donner and an anti - vigilante copper , to draw Helena out . But Helena anticipated this , and has her own crew in the building . A shoot - out ensues , and Helena ’s crew falls back and need hostages .

Last time I saw him he was in watcher trade protection , and in this installment he ’s back with a criminal administration that shot at a bunch of cops . He ’s kill many people . The world needs him to go away , the Hero of Alexandria need him to go away , the law needs him to go away – this is a job that solves itself !

One swell moment happens when Quentin calls the Arrow , and Oliver is standing right next to him . Ollie quickly say that his mom is calling , which stand for that he has his secret law buddy listed under “ mom ” on his earphone . I find this both funny and affecting .
Sara goes barrel into the courthouse to free Laurel and has absolutely zero success – as Laurel ends up as leveraging to get Ollie to hand over Frank , and Sara gets thrown out a window . She does , however , portion out a nice moment with Laurel , as Laurel lunges for a bottle and Sara talks her down . There is even some meta , as Laurel tiredly says , “ call on out I ’m palm . Helena ’s in a police force getup , sneaking Laurel out of the building to meet Ollie and Sara at a rendez vous breaker point . Quentin goes rogue , nobble Frank to plow him over to Ollie and Sara . I got ta say , although she has the usual villain ’s impuissance of speechifying when she should be shooting hoi polloi in the heading , Helena ’s a pretty competent baddie .
It ’s a pity what happens to her . The rabid pig disrupts their little meet - up , spraying them all with smoke while screaming , “ You are not above the law ! ” In the melee , Frank gets a bullet to the heart , which reasonably much direct the combat out of Helena . She drops to her knees and lament that it should have been her to do it .

Now to the true villain ! Roy ’s fit of wrath during missions have n’t been get any just . Ollie sits him down and tells him to stick around away from Thea . This might work better , dramatically , if Roy ’s preceding scenes with Thea did n’t have all the atrocious violence of a commercial for textile softener . ( Although I do appreciate the show not take aim us down some godawful “ He injure me , but I have intercourse he loves me ” path . ) As it is , Ollie is essentially draw in a Hulk - and - Betty . Comics fans have it away what I think of . It ’s prove over and over that Betty is the one person that can reliably calm Hulk down in his rages , and what does everyone do ? Get her as far away from Hulk as possible . That ’s like storing flaming extinguishers under kindling , or asthma attack inhalers at the top of five flights of step .
Thea obviously feels the same means I do . Although she see through Roy ’s attempts to split up with her , she ’s hurt . She ’s especially hurt when she finds him in her office , his arms around a blonde and look so shocky that he could make a compelling case that he was sleepwalking . In snag , she goes to Ollie , saying that she ’s so thankful that he never lies to her , and never keeps secret from her . Anyone who has catch even one tv show knows that , in terms of spectacular narrative , Thea has just pulled the personal identification number on a grenade . It explodes ten mo later , when she ’s walking down the street , and Slade offers her a ride home . I wonder what will happen next .
